Name:  South East Turkey Hoard
Brief biography:  A hoard of mixed denomination gold coins of the sixth and seventh centuries.

This hoard appears to have consisted of 60 solidi, 16 lightweight solidi and 3 tremisses from Justinian I to Herakleios associated with an adult Herakleios Constantine (Constantine III) giving the hoard a terminus post quem of around 635. The bulk of the coins (54 out of 79) were from the reign of Maurice. The hoard was found in ‘South East Turkey’ with no more specific location noted, probably in 1965.
