Notes: The flask is of Mycenaean manufacture and was likely traded into Egypt before being deposited in Tomb 17 at Balabish. The decoration, concentric circles of red paint on a globular body, is typical of this vessel type. Later Egyptian copies were also found at Balabish - notably ECM 1971, which was discovered in Burial 50. This vessel can be seen on Plate 25 of the excavation report by Wainwright.
