Handwritten letter from Phillips informing Wilkinson that if the Birmingham Reference Library ever acquire Botanical specimens there is a good opportunity of buying a set of "Lichens Britannice (illegible)" as a set is to be disposed of in Shrewsbury at this present time which is a very rare occurance and that they themselves are extremely rare. The type of specimens of the authors 'Lichen Flora of Great Britain' and so should not be missed and that this set have been partly remounted with evident case and that the specimen are in excellent condition except half which has suffered from age. Speaks of the orginal price. Asks whether the Research Library will be interested. Blue print at top of letter says 'Canonbury, Shrewsbury'.
