Handwritten letter to Professor Yapp from H. S. Thompson. At the top of the letter it says 'No reply needed'. Mentions plants collected in 1907, 8 of which were sold by Thompson. Thompson says that when he is less busy, he hopes to add more plants to his collection, mounted and with beautiful engravings. Talks about leaving the 'Journal of Botany' to Cardiff or another university as Birmingham already has one. Talks about his will and re-writing it, and leaving botanical books and papers to the Botany Department specificially, at the University of Birmingham.
