This is a large moving-coil meter calibrated in millivolts. The terminals are marked + and 50 mV. There are three scales reading
0, 0.5, ...., 5; 0, 1, ...., 10; 0, 0.1, ...., 1. There are vernier type markings so that the scale can be read to 0.001 of full scale reading.
The instrument has a levelling bubble and built-in thermometer. It is mounted on a home-made levelling table.
