Description:  Obverse: Head of Probus, wearing radiate crown and beard, wearing cuirass and imperial mantle, holding sceptre surmounted by eagle, facing l. Reverse: Emperor, in military attire, standing facing r., holding vexillum (?) in l. and receiving globe from Jupiter, naked but cloaked, standing facing l., holding spear in l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IM-P C M HVR DROBVS HVC (Imperator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Probus Augustus). Reverse: IOVI CONSV-ΛVHT (Jupiter, the Protector). In Exergue: VXXT

Bibliography:  RIC V 386 var.

Notes:  In accordance with RIC, the VXXT in the exergue of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Ticinum. As opposed to RIC, this coin has a different obverse type for the bust (H instead of A, F, or G).
