Description:  Obverse: Head of Claudius, wearing radiate crown and beard, cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Mars, helmeted and in military attire, standing facing l., holding olive-branch in r. and spear in l., with shield at feet, to r.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: ...Y C CLH-VDIVS II... (Imperator Caesar Claudius Augustus). Reverse: NNRT-I PNCIFERC (Mars, the bringer of Peace).

Bibliography:  RIC V 71 var.

Notes:  As opposed to RIC type, the figure on the reverse has a shield by his feet.
