This piece has been woven on a single heddle upright women's loom of imported machine-spun yarn. It has a black and white warp with red selvedge edges. There are supplementary weft-float patterns (diaper checks, rectangular checks, diamond-bodied lizard motifs) in tones of red, black and yellow, on a white and natural ground. The ends have been tasselled to finish it. It was lent to the Danford Collection by L.A. Lidderdale in 1968 and was subsequently acquired by bequest.
