Description:  Obverse: Head of Probus, wearing radiate crown and beard, wearing cuirass and imperial mantle, holding sceptre surmounted by eagle, facing l. Reverse: Mars, naked but cloaked and helmeted, walking facing r., holding spear in r. and trophy in l. over shoulder.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP C M HVR PROBVS P F HVG (Imperator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Probus Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: VIHTU-S PR-OBI HUG (The Courage of Probus Augustus). In Exergue: XXIT

Bibliography:  RIC V 810

Notes:  Traces of silvering. In accordance with RIC, the XXIT in the exergue of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Siscia.
