Silver-plate presentation cup with two handles, mounted on black plastic base. Engraved on front: ERNEST HAYNES CUP AWARDED TO THE NURSE OF THE YEAR DONATED BY THE LEAGUE OF FRIENDS. Engraved on reverse with names of recipients between 1964 and 1975. Presented at All Saints Hospital Training School, Birmingham. Ernest Haynes was a Labour Councillor for Weoley and trade unionist, who would have been known to Evelyn Crosskey (nee Nettlefold). Cup was purchased in around 2011 by former Education Officer at Winterbourne, and used as an internal 'award' for sustainability. Later found unaccessioned. |
