BIRRC-D0391.jpg

This piece has been woven on a woman's single-heddle loom. There is both a white warp and weft with supplemetary weft-float patterns. These patterns appear as diamond cheques alternating with small diamonds, and the pattern is compressed next to plain balanced-weave selvedges in black and fawn machine spun yarn. The piece is completed with fringed ends and was bequeathed to the Danford Collection by E.H. Duckworth.
