Description:  This is a moving coil instrument using the electrodynamometer principle. The current passes both through the moving coil and through the windings of the magnet. This works for both direct and alternating currents but results in a very non-linear scale. There are two ranges 0 to 5 and 0 to 2.5 A and the maximum frequency is stated to be 133 Hz. Instructions and calibration certificate in lid dated 21 Sept. 1922. Cost £25.11.11. See also P0476.
