Description:  Obverse: Head of Herakles (Hercules) wearing a lion skin.
Reverse: Enthroned Zeus holding an eagle. The images of the demi-god and king of the gods on the reverse and obverse of the coin alludes to the divine ancestry of Alexander. Herakles was often used by Hellenistic rulers on their coins as a figure of strength.
