Description: Obverse: Head of Delmatius, wearing laurel wreath, cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Two soldiers, in military attire and helmeted, standing facing each other with two standards between them, holding spear in outer hands and leaning on shield with inner hands. Inscriptions: Obverse: FL DELMATIVS NOb̄ C (Flavius Delmatius, Most Noble Caesar). Reverse: GLOR-IΛ EXERC-ITVS (To the Glory of the Army). In Exergue: SMALͰ Bibliography: RIC VII 62 Notes: According to RIC, the SMAL[A] in the exergue of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Alexandria. |
