Description:  Obverse: Head of Crispus, wearing laurel wreath, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Mars, naked but wearing helmet and boots, cloaked, standing facing l., leaning on shield with r. and holding reversed vertical spear in l.; G S in field to l. and r. respectively.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: CHISPVS NOB CAES (Crispus, Most Noble Caesar). Reverse: PRINCIPIA IVI…b̄NTVTIS (To the Prince of Youth). In Exergue: QARL

Notes:  According to RIC, the QARL in the exergue of the reverse and [C] S in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officinae) indicating Arelate.
