After the first commercial cavity magnetron E1189 was made in the U.K. by Mullard and operated on 29 June 1940, large-scale production was started in U.S.A. This exhibit looks identical to the famous first one made in U.K. and will be one of these U.S. magnetrons. It produced microwaves of wavelength 10 cm.
