Box for the Gagee tissue pneumonia jacket.

Gamgee tissue was invented by Birmingham medic Dr Joseph Sampson Gamgee in 1882. This jacket was marketed as "An excellent protector for the Chest and Lungs, invaluable in cases of pneumonia, bronchitus etc."
The prevalence of the material led to cotton being known colloquially in Birmingham as 'Gamgee'.
