Description:  Obverse: Head of Zeus wearing a laurel wreath.
Reverse: Young man on horseback, holding a palm branch. The rich deposits of gold and silver provided Philip with the resources to expand his armed forces. With his enlarged army Philip conquered Greece and paved the way for the campaigns of his son, Alexander.
