Description:  Undecorated wooden triple kohl tube/pot comprising two joined cylindrical components with a ridge on one side where the two meet. Three holes run through the container: one each along the length of the two cylinders and a third down the centre. A fourth hole is present opposite the central kohl tube, filled by part of a wooden dowel; this would probably have been for the purpose of holding the lid (now lost) in place. No traces of kohl remain.

Inscriptions / Translations:  Uninscribed

Bibliography:  On kohl pots, see:
E. Brovarski et al, “Kohl and Kohl Containers” in ‘Egypt's Golden Age: The Art of Living in the New Kingdom, 1558-1085 B.C.’, Boston 1982, 216-227.

Notes:  These tubes were for the storage of kohl (eye-paint) which would have been extracted using a kohl stick.
