Description:  Obverse: busts of Michael bearded and Theophilos beardless facing wearing chlamys and loros respectively and cross crowns, cross floating above between heads. Reverse: denomination mark with cross above.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: MIXAHL S θ EOFILOS (Michael and Theophilos). Reverse: XXX NNN ('year 30'). Off. θ.

Notes:  Some peculiar lines on the reverse, possibly of chlamys but no coins exist of the right size for this to be struck over; possibly altering of an old prereform die?
