Description:  Obverse: Head of Septimius Severus, wearing laurel wreath and pronged-beard, facing r. Reverse: Two captives, each wearing pointed cap and draped to ankles, seated in mourning aptitude back to back, l. and r. of central trophy.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: SEVERVS PIVS AVG (Severus Pious Augustus). Reverse: ΓART MAX P M TR P VIIII (The Greatest Victor over the Parthians, Head of the College of the Priests, Tribune for the Ninth Time).
