Description:  Obverse: Head of Maximian, wearing radiate crown and beard, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Hercules, naked, standing facing l., holding olive-branch in r. and club and lion-skin in l.; B in field, to l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP C VAL MHXIMIHNVS AVC (Imperator Caesar Valerius Maximian Augustus). Reverse: H-ERCVLI PHCIFERO (Hercules, the Peacemaker). In Exergue: SML

Notes:  According to RIC, the SML in the exergue of the reverse and the B in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officinae) indicating Lugdunum.
