Description:  Obverse: Head of Maximian, wearing laurel wreath and beard, wearing imperial mantle and holding olive-branch in r. and mappa in l., facing r. Reverse: Providentia, draped, standing facing r., extending r. to Quies, draped, standing facing l., holding branch in r. and leaning on sceptre with l.; • in field, to r., and a dot between the two figures.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: D B MAXIMIANO BAEATISSIMO SEN …VC (Our Lord Maximian, Most Blessed, Senior Augustus). Reverse: PBOVIDENTIH DEOPVM GVIES BVCC (The Foresight of the Gods, Retirement of the Emperors). In Exergue: QT

Notes:  According to RIC, the QT in the exergue on the reverse and • in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officina) indicating Ticinum. As opposed to the RIC type, this coin holds a variation on the mintmark in the field of the reverse (no A).
