Description:  Obverse: Head of Maximinus, wearing laurel wreath and beard, facing r. Reverse: Genius, naked but cloaked, wearing modius, standing facing l., holding head of Serapis, wearing modius, in r. and cornucopia in l.; branch at feet, to l., and * N Δ in field, to top l., mid l. and mid r. respectively.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP C CHL VHL MAXIMINVS P F ΛVC (Imperial Caesar Galerius Valerius Maximinus Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: CENIO AVCVSTI (The Genius of the Emperor). In Exergue: ALE

Notes:  Traces of silvering, and die slippage on reverse. According to RIC, the ALE in the exergue of the reverse and * N Δ (anticlockwise) in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officinae) indicating Alexandria.
