Inscriptions: Obverse: IMP LIC LICINIVS P F AVC (Imperator Licinianus Licinius Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: IOVI CO-NS-E-RVATORI (Jupiter, the Protector). In Exergue: SIS Bibliography: RIC VI 227A var. Notes: According to RIC, the SIS in the exergue of the reverse and [laurel wreath] A in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officinae) indicating Siscia. As opposed to the type in RIC, this coin does not have an eagle on the reverse at the feet of Jupiter. |
