Description: Obverse: Bust of Valens, facing r. draped, cuirassed, diademed. Reverse: Emperor, cuirassed, diademed, with standard with Chi-Ro in r. hand and crowning Victory on globe in l. hand.
Inscriptions: Obverse: D N VALENS P F AVC (our lord Valens pious fortunate Augustus). Reverse: RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE (restorer of the Republic). Mint mark: SMNI (mint of Nicomedia).
