Description: Obverse: Bust of Valens, facing r. draped, cuirassed, diademed. Reverse: Emperor, cuirassed, diademed, with standard with cross in r. hand and crowning Victory on globe in l. hand.
Inscriptions: Obverse: D N VALENS P F HVC (our lord Valens pious fortunate Augustus). Reverse: RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE (restorer of the Republic). Mint mark: [star]CONS[downturned crescent] (mint of Constantinopolis).

Notes: Graffito of a Z in obverse r. field. Standard in reverse has cross instead of Chi-Ro.
