Description:  Obverse: Bust of Arcadius, facing 3/4 r. cuirassed, diademed, helmeted, with spear in r. hand and shield in l. hand. Reverse: Victory, seated, inscribing on shield.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: D N HRCADI VS P F AVC (our lord Arcadius pious fortunate Augustus). Reverse: XX / XXX (prayers for 20 years of rule, more for the 30th anniversary). Peripheral: NOVA SPES REIPVBLICAE Δ (new hope of the Republic). Mint mark: CONO S (Constantinopolis 2).
