Description:  Obverse: Head of Maximinus, wearing laurel wreath and beard, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Jupiter, naked but cloaked, standing facing l., holding Victory on globe in r. and leaning on sceptre with l.; eagle at feet, to l., and Γ in field, to r.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP MAXIVINVS P F ΛVV (Imperator Maximinus Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: IOVI CON◦FRVΛTORI ΛVGG NN (Jupiter, the Protector of Our Two Emperors). In Exergue: CIS

Notes:  According to RIC, the [S]IS in the exergue of the reverse and Γ in the field of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Carthage. Γ in r. of field on reverse unusually worn, probably on die rather than coin.
