Description:  Obverse: Head of Philip, wearing a radiate crown and beard, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Philip the Arab and Philip II, on horses, galloping facing r., each raising their r.; one holding spear; in exergue, ε (assumed to be Greek numeral 5 as an officina mark).

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP PHILIPDVS ΠVG (Imperator Philip Augustus). Reverse: VI-RTVS HVGG (Courage of the Emperors).
