Notes:  This scarab depicts the god Seth facing a uraeus below a sun disc. The sun disc may represent the god Re and the uraeus the god Wadjet, or perhaps may represent the authority of kingship more generally. These religious symbols likely point to its production in the Ramesside period when the importance of the Seth cult was most prominent.
