Openwork amulet of the god Bes with suspension lug situated behind the plumed headdress. His hands rest on his bandy legs. Crudely carved facial features, while an animal tail hangs between his legs. (p. 39) Notes: Amulets depicting the god Bes first appeared during the 18th Dynasty, although the iconography of Bes can be seen in earlier Middle Kingdom ivory knives/wands.
