Description:  Stones from stonehenge 1. Called granite, but it appears too finely grained to be a true granite. The stones were taken from the pillars of the middle ring.

The collection of William Murdoch, dated in his inventory as 12.1826.

Inscriptions / Translations:  Purchased from Jones, W.E. (24, Broughton Rd., Handsworth, Birmingham. (£35 for entire collection and cabinets).
