This Igbo piece has been woven on an upright single-heddle woman's loom. The colours used include black and yellow warp, and black weft with supplementary weft-float patterns. These supplementary patterns include zigzag, triangular, diabolo and comb motifs in red, yellow, green and white. The yarn used here is imported and machine-spun. It was lent by John Danford in 1964 and purchased in 1975.
