Name: Syria 1958 Hoard Brief biography: A hoard of 28 solidi of Justin II found in Syria. |
|
This group of 28 coins were all solidi of Justin II from the mint of Constantinople. The hoard is one of three which the Barber possesses for sixth century Syria, but is less well-documented than Hama and Akkar and is also much smaller than them. We are unfortunately unclear as to where exactly this hoard was found in the same year as Akkar. |
