Name: Persian Hoard Brief biography: A hoard of around 120 Sasanian silver drachms. |
|
This hoard is noted as having contained around 120 silver Sasanian drachms, of which the Barber possesses 8. Of the 120, most were from the reign of Khusrau II, but there is no note about the terminus post quem or the chronological range of the hoard. While Philip Whitting acquired these coins in 1964, there is also no note as to when exactly these coins were found. |
