Description:  Obverse: Three-quarter bust of Theodosius, wearing cuirass and plumed helmet, r. hand holding spear transversely behind head, shield depicting cavalryman on l. shoulder. Reverse: Theodosius seated on throne facing to l., feet resting upon cushion, holding cross in l. hand and mappa in r., young Valentinian standing to r. holding globus cruciger in l. hand and mappa in r. Star above, A in l. of field and Q in r. of field.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: DN THEODO SIVS PF AVG (Our lord Theodosius pius and fortunate Emperor). Reverse: SALVS REI PVBLICAE (Saviour of the Republic). Mint mark: CONOB.
