Obverse: Griffon, advancing right, wings splayed upwards, no legend.

Reverse: Crosslet preceding inscription on five lines.

Inscriptions / Translations:  Obverse: None.

Reverse: + KE R/OHΘH Iω/ANNI TOO / RA CΠΘA / AM (Lord help John the imperial spatharios, amen).

Notes:  Oxydisation, chipped. Struck centrally. String course aligned vertically on centre. Not entirely clear why there is a second O in TO in inscription.
