Description:  Obverse: Bust of Varhran II, bearded, with hair in bunch over l. shoulder; winged-crown, with korymbos above; to r. of shah, bust of queen Shabur-dukhtag, crowned with dog-headed crown, hair in two braids; both face bust of figure, facing l., crowned with eagle-crown and holding ribboned diadem in hand; single pellet border. Reverse: Fire altar, with two steps at base, two at top, with altar slab above; three pellets in triangle formation on altar shaft; fire atop altar; attendants flanking the altar, figure to r. wears eagle-crown, facing altar; both figures with arms raised in suplication to fire, r. figure holding diadem; to l. of fire, symbol of fravahar, to r. of fire, taurus symbol; single pellet border.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: MZDYSN BGI WRHRN MLKAN MLKA AYRAN Y ANAYRAN MN ČTRY MN YZDN (MAZDAYASNA BAGI WARHRAN MALKAN MALKA AYRAN Y ANAYRAN MIN CHITRY MIN YAZDAN/Mazda-worshipping divine Varhran, King of Kings of Iran and Aniran, whose seed is from the gods). Reverse: NURA ZI WRHRAN (Fire of Varhran)
