Crispina was a noblewoman of the House of Bruttia, she was married to Commodus by the latter's father, the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. She became Roman empress upon her marriage in 178, and two years later her husband was sole emperor. Her marriage produced no children, she was later charged with adultery and exiled, then executed, in 190.
