Fausta was a daughter of the Emperor Maximian and was given as a wife to Constantine I to seal an alliance between the two. They had three sons and three daughters together. Fausta died around the same time as her stepson Crispus, having been implicated either in false accusations against Crispus, having had an affair with Crispus, or in a plot against Constantine. She was boiled in her bath.
