Brief biography:  Count of Tripoli and Antioch in succession to Bohemond V from 1252-1275, he lost Antioch to the Mamluks in 1268 but was succeeded in Tripoli by his son Bohemond VII.

Count of Tripoli and Antioch in succession to Bohemond V from 1252-1275, he moved his government to Antioch in 1252 and married the daughter of King Hetoum of Armenia. In 1258 he and Hetoum paid tribute to the invading Mongols, and in 1268 Bohemond lost Antioch to the Mamluk armies of Sultan Baybars. He retained Tripoli to his death, however, and was succeeded there by his son Bohemond VII.
