Publius Licinius Crassus was the son of the wealthy triumvir, Marcus Licinius Crassus. He began his career as a soldier in Gaul under Gaius Julius Caesar, which he survived, and became a moneyer for the republic. He later accompanied his father on campaign against the Parthians in 53 BC. At the battle of Carrhae, which was a disaster for the Romans, and at which Marcus Licinius Crassus was captured by the Parthians, Publius Crassus committed suicide. |
