Small scarab carved of glazed steatite. The wing cases are displayed with humeral callosities, and the legs are notched and chip carved. The base is carved with hieroglyphs mentioning the city of Busiris.

Notes:  The use of steatite to create this scarab allowed for great details to be carved on the small amulet. The base inscription mentions the ancient Egyptian city of Busiris. This could be because the scarab was made and used in Busiris, or simply because it was the mythological birthplace of the god Osiris and therefore a sacred place. The miniscule humeral callosities carved on the wing cases point to a production date in the Eighteenth Dynasty or later. See ECM 1644 for another example of humeral callosities.
