Description:  Obverse: Head of Diocletian, wearing radiate crown and beard, cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Victory, draped and winged, standing facing l., holding wreath in r. and palm in l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP DIOCLETIANVS AVG (Imperator Diocletian Augustus). Reverse: VIC-TO-R-IΠ AVG (Imperial Victory). In Exergue: XXIH

Bibliography:  RIC V 183 var.

Notes:  According to RIC, the XXI[A] in the exergue of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Rome. As opposed to the RIC type, Victory is standing instead of walking on the reverse.
