Notes:  This small jug was originally part of a double vase in Marl D and is cream slipped and polished. This jug was listed in the original museum catalogue as coming from Sawama, but the object marks on its neck and base do not support such provenance. The numeral '5' was misread as 'S' creating the erroneous link with Sawama. Furthermore, this type of jug, either on its own or as a part of a double vase, is not present in the known corpus of pottery from the sie and double vases of this type are more commonly found in contests later in date, from the reign of Amenhotep III to the early Nineteenth Dynasty (ca. 1390-1240 BCE).
