Handwritten letter from W. H. Wilkinson to Professor Hillhouse. Wilkinson mentions whether Hillhouse has been fortunate in 'obtaining' the money for the Holmes Library and hopes that the books are all safely in his care by now. He asks, if not then what is to be done? Wilkinson says that if Mr and Mrs Cadbury were to see some samples, they might be so pleased as to present the whole sum, and if not could ask him to purchase half if they could not raise the remainder, although this would be a great disappointment to not have the whole library.
