Newspaper article titled 'Birmingham Natural History and Microscopical Society' from the Gazette. Report on the 35th annual meeting of the society held at the Mason Science College, Edmund Street. 'Mr W. H. Wilkinson (president) occupied the chair, and there were also present Mr. W. P. Marshall (secretary), and a large number of members'. Marhsall presented the accounts of the Society, and that the Society had achieved something which it had not been able to in previous years. The Society had been able to pay the rent for the last quarter of the year due to special subscriptions received from members and due to the proposed merging with the Philosophical Society and preparations for a joint committee. Talks about the loss of one of their members and the numbers at present in the Society (184). Agreed that the present officers and Council be re-elected in the amalgamation of the two societies. On a date to be fixed, the president's address (Wilkinson W H) would be given.
