Prize label in front cover: Ranelagh Road Wesleyan Sunday School Wolverhampton Round O Class 2nd Class Prize awarded to Florence Nicholls January 1906. Belonged to donor's grandmother. Donor's grandparents William and Florence (nee Nicholls) Dickenson were employed by Bell & Nicolson as travelling salesman for baby clothes and draper's assistant - donor occasionally wore the samples. William Dickenson started at Bell & Nicolson in 1906 at 16 and stayed till retirement in 1950s by which time he was a buyer. Notes: Prize inscription |
