This plaque is composed of a wooden base and metal plaque. The base and the image raised on the plaque are both representations of the crest of Pusan National University, South Korea. The university was originally founded as Pusan National College in 1945, initially encompassing only two academic faculties; Humanties and Fisheries. Over the years more faculties were added to the institution and it became a University in September 1953. The latest development on campus was the establishment of the first Graduate School of Oriental Medicine in March 2008.This plaque was given as a gift to the Vice Chancellor.
